Polysomnography

ETSU offers a non-degree seeking certificate program in Polysomnography. The program is offered in conjunction with Continuing Studies and prepares the student with Internet-based online didactic lectures and hospital-based clinical practica to gain entry into the work force as a polysomnographer. Polysomnography is an overnight test to evaluate sleep disorders. It generally includes monitoring of the patient's airflow through the nose and mouth, blood pressure, electrocardiographic activity, blood oxygen level, brain wave pattern, eye movement, and the movement of respiratory muscles and limbs.  Contact Dr. Donald Samples at samplesd@etsu.edu or visit online at http://www.etsu.edu/crhs/alliedhealth/poly/

Nutrition and Dietetics

The Nutrition and Dietetics option provides students with foundation skills and knowledge necessary to provide general education to individuals and community groups. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Verification of Completion Statement and are then eligible to apply for a dietetic internship. Dental Hygiene Program

Radiography Program

The Radiography program is designed for students who have completed two years of pre-professional college work inclusive of general education and allied health core courses. CT and MRI non-degree seeking programs are also offered through the Office of Professional Development. Cardiopulmonary Science Program

The Cardiopulmonary Science - Respiratory Therapist Program is administered in the Department of Allied Health Sciences. Online Allied Health Master's Program

The Master of Science in Allied Health degree is designed for any allied health professional who wants the flexibility to pursue an advanced degreee entirely online from any location. The goal is to help allied health professionals advance into leadership roles. There are 18 hours of core courses, 12 hours of guided electives, and a 6-hour thesis or capstone project.
